So Slow

to post this past month.. I have been sewing some projects and keeping busy. learned to bake bread and sewed a baby shower set for my husband's niece. It included bibs, burp cloths, blanket, booties. I made them out of a toy truck fabric I had. We knew it was a boy she was having as she had informed us in advance. The night of the shower I had a great time. My hubby decided to have me drink that night. I think he felt I needed to relax from all the sewing I do. He plied me with quite a few glasses of wine. Then a couple of glasses of Pina Colada and vodka..Needless to say I was feeling "nice"..lol.. Well lets just say that 2 weeks later I have a positive pregnancy test..So I am due in November... Ok here is a peak at a diaper I made using fabric for a future stash that now is not so distant...lol

My birthday and Anniversary just passed. It is sometimes too much to have both within 7 days of each other but my hubby always comes thru. I got beautiful flowers for my anniversary and dinner out. For my birthday I got perfume and dinner out. lol..eating out alot. I just turned 42 and don't feel like it. I feel younger. Maybe the 40's is the new 30's? Well for me it is!!

Busy Week

I have been busy the past week. Made a few bags and planning a baby quilt for my niece who is turning 2 this month. Of course it had to be Dora! I had to hunt for the fabric because my local Joann's didn't have any. I made her a messenger bag to go with her leapster that she is getting for her birthday.

I made myself a patchwork bag and a shopping bag for my mother-in-law, with lots of pockets. Whew! I'm tired.

Catching up

Wow.. I have not been on in awhile.. my internet went down and it took awhile to come back on we figured the routers were messed up. Had to fix everything from scratch.. I am back up and hoping to post some more..

Right now we are getting ready for my 3 year old to have surgery. She has a groin hernia. I found an excellentpediatric surgeon for her at a great children's hospital. I myself might have to have surgery on my left sholder for a torn rotator cuff..lol.. So how was your holidays?.....

My birthday is this month on the 27th I turn 42. WOW! I never thought I would here myself say that. 42 was so old when I was a kid but now it is the new 30's for me.. :P

My hubby and I are going to a party this Friday and I intend on having some fun..Let loose a bit.. No kids!! yay for me. I had finished all my Christmas sewing early in December so my girls had a ice surprise. We bought them the Rock Band set plus the rock band2 disk..Quite a few other WII games. My girls are still having a blast with the games. The gifts I made them, they loved. My hubby got perfumes and a back massager with heat for his car. Drives 80 miles a day each way for work so this gift was very much appreciated.. AHHHH...but my gift was the best. lol. I received the DSlite. With 5 games. Now I can play when my hubby plays his games. Even though I think he bought it so I won't bother him while he is playing his xbox360..lol..I am planning on sewing gloves for the military this week and send them off.. These are work their butts off for my freedom the least I can do is sew some gloves for them.. My son is in the military. He is Army and I am very proud of him..
